Case Study - Transition Management

SITUATION:
A small virtual non-profit with employees spread across the US bought a software development team six times its size from a for-profit tech firm. PeopleCap was engaged to manage the complex integration of the two organizations’ culture and infrastructure.

SOLUTION:

PeopleCap assessed the two cultures and identified potential challenges to a successful integration.  We developed and managed a plan for integrating the cultures; building a single, cohesive leadership team; retaining key players; and managing the impact on employees.  We helped the company navigate multiple unexpected crises during the merger, including product launch problems, the departure of the Executive Director, and the hiring and transition of a new leader.
